Paradise Elementary Opening

When will Paradise Elementary officially open?

Paradise Elementary is scheduled to open for the 2026–2027 school year. Construction and final preparations will continue through the 2025–2026 year to ensure the campus is ready to welcome students and staff.

What grades will be offered at Paradise Elementary in its first year?

Paradise Elementary will serve students in Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 6th grade.

Will the school be fully staffed when it opens, or will staffing be phased in?

Yes. The school will open with a full complement of teachers, support staff, and administrators to meet the needs of all grade levels from day one.

What are the school hours, and will they be the same as Paradise Ridge Elementary?

School hours are expected to be similar to Paradise Ridge Elementary, though exact times will be finalized closer to opening.

Will there be a ribbon-cutting or community open house before the first day of school?

Attendance Boundaries & Enrollment

How will attendance boundaries be determined?

The district will use the pre-fire boundaries between Paradise Ridge Elementary and Paradise Elementary. Please see the School Boundaries page for more information.

Families will be notified of their school assignments during the 2025–2026 school year.  We are hoping to give information to families in late January.

PUSD understands the importance of keeping families together. Siblings will have priority consideration for attending the same school when feasible.

Yes. Students enrolled in specialized programs will continue to receive appropriate services, and placement decisions will be made collaboratively with families to ensure continuity of support.

How will the district ensure a smooth transition for students who have been together since kindergarten?

The district will host orientation events, buddy programs, and school visits to help students build new friendships while maintaining familiar connections.

Will current teachers remain at Paradise Ridge, or move to the new Paradise Elementary?
